Lowie Van De Kwaenyk Van Vlaams
Barn Name: Luigi
Luigi is a new addition at BQHC! In the early spring of 2021, we were fortunate enough to have found a beautiful, blue roan, Belgisch Trekpaard Stallion residing in Merksplas, Belgium. We knew instantly that he would be a great fit for our breeding program and we were ready to take the leap. In late April, he flew to America and in the middle of June, once his quarantine process was over, we were able to pick him up from the quarantine facility in Kentucky.
Luigi now resides with us, and really enjoys his job here in America.
The Belgian Draft, or Brabant, as some people may call the Belgisch Trekpaard, originates from the Brabant region of modern Belgium, and is one of the strongest of the heavy breeds. History shows that Belgian Drafts are direct, lineal descendants of the “Great Horse” of Medieval Times. These are the horses that carried armored knights into battle!
Luigi stands at 16 hands tall and weighs in at 1,600 pounds. He has heavy feathering, with a flowing mane, foretop and tail. The Belgisch Trekpaard are known for being a good decision maker, having a big personality, and are about as docile as they come. He is a quick learner, and loves to be in the presence of other horses.
Roy
Roy is a 5 year old blue roan Quarter Horse Stallion. Standing at 14.2 hh. His bloodlines on his papers go back to Mr Okie Joe, and Kros Tipsy Cowboy, just to name a couple! This guy has great cow sense!
Roy has great agility, quickness and stamina. When bred with the right mare, the results are stunning with the ability to go any direction in the performance arena, or great ranch horse!
Roy is available for breeding outside mares for a fee of $500. Mare care included.
